A key aspect of the renovation was to maximise the functionality of the small property. A bespoke kitchen with custom-made cabinets and hidden storage was installed. To further enhance space efficiency, window seats with concealed storage were built in both the kitchen and the bedroom.

Light played a crucial role in making the small space feel larger. The property, being dual aspect, benefits from both North and South natural light. This was enhanced by implementing light floor finishes and off-white painted walls. The original floorboards were sanded and slightly whitened, all contributing to a brighter, more open feel. This approach not only made the property feel more spacious but also highlighted its period features.
